Dispensationalism: A Straightforward Approach
These sessions are not a result of a designed format, but currently provide a list of previous outlines on Dispensationalism, Mid-Acts Dispensationalism, and how the latter is the most hermeneutically and exegetically consistent framework. Also, having a proper definition of "dispensation" ultimately provides the solution to Covenant Theology's monolithic view of God's elect, which is briefly described herein. In this way, this dispensational framework comes to the rescue of Covenant Theology. More to come...
Module One
Normative Dispensationalism
In this outline we provide a brief overview of the theological scheme called Dispensationalism. Like its so-called counterpart, Covenant Theology, Dispensationalism has a rich theological history and has been around for millennia. Herein we provide a brief discussion on the problems of “traditional” dispensationalism and a solution that is far reaching and rich in theological content (sadly, the latter is beyond the scope of this brief discussion).
Module Two
Baker's Dispensational Systematic
Though not part of any TRF Series on Dispensationalism, Baker's Systematic is a nice resource to have in one's library. Though not as consistent as we prefer, this is one of the first major attempts at a Dispensational Systematic and is from a Mid-Acts perspective. Baker is essentially a 4-pointer and defines a dispensation in the traditional manner. Nevertheless, much can be gleaned from this work. Baker was a graduate of DTS.
Module Three
A Dispensational Survey of Scripture Centered Around the Seven Ones of Ephesians Four
This foundational outline was authored by Stephen Rodabaugh, PhD and is without question the best and most rigorous presentation and defense of Mid-Acts dispensationalism we have ever had the pleasure of studying. It is Rodabaugh's theological magnum opus. This version has been wonderfully edited by Phillip Dennis, PhD. and is exceptionally rigorous, requiring a real Bible student's effort and dedication. The editing is not yet complete, but we wanted to get this out However, you will not be disappointed if you devote your time to devouring this remarkable work. Please download this work and have at it!
