The Day of the Lord
The Day of the Lord is a very important theme throughout the non-Pauline Scriptures. It surprisingly represents a very large part of the Old Testament and is also discussed at length in the non-Pauline New Testament.
Unlike the Day of Man (the so-called Church Age [1 Cor 4:3 (Greek Text)]), The Day of the Lord corresponds to that period of time when Jehovah is actively and publicly operating in the cosmic affairs of men and angel. The time period involved is from the end of the Church Age to Day of God, when Christ as Lord of all things turns over the entire Kingdom to the Father, the Day of God.
This particular series is a result of the Eldership of Trinity Grace Fellowship's 2005 Bible Conference devoted to this great theme. Graphics by James HIlston.
Session One (Revised)
An Introduction to the Day of the Lord
This session provides an introduction into the grand topic of the Day of the Lord (DOL). The DOL is defined, and an overview is provided as to its time, duration, and constituents. It will be shown that the Day of the Lord, the great topic of the Old Testament and
Non-Pauline New Testament finishes God’s programs for both Israel and the Gentile Nations. Furthermore, this session shows that the Day of the Lord comprises
all of future redemptive history after the Rapture event including (1) Israel’s 3rd Generation, (2) the Millennial Kingdom, (3) the “Little Season” and the New Heavens
and New Earth, and finally (5) the Body’s relationship to the Day of the Lord. The remaining sessions provide summaries for each major constituent.
Session Two
Israel's Third Generation and the Day of the Lord
This session provides an overview of various elements of the Day of the Lord that are contained within Israel’s 3rd Generation. Some of these elements are: The rebirthing of Israel (Ez 36), a general chronology of Israel’s 3rd Generation (Scrolls, Trumpets, and Vials), Timing, Correlation, and Contents of the Little Scroll
(the 144K, the Two Witnesses, AntiChrist, FalseProphet), Nephilimic Israel, the nature of Israel’s Diaspora, the binding of Satan, Daniel’s 70th Week, etc.
Session Three (Revised)
The Millennial Kingdom and the Day of the Lord
This session provides an overview of the makeup, timing, duration, and nature of the Millennial Kingdom. The Days of Daniel 12 are examined, along with the extent of the Millennial Kingdom, its nature, character, and key elements. Its relationship to Israel’s unconditional covenants, its political, economic, and spiritual makeup are also examined. Finally, the Millennial Land, Temple, and geology of the Millennial Kingdom are discussed.
Session Four (Revised)
The "Little Season", Satan's Final Revolt, and the Day of the Lord
This session provides a summary of the details that are immediately
carried out after the Kingdom’s Millennial phase closes. This includes (1) the unbinding of Satan, (2) the “Little Season”, (3) Satan’s final revolt, (4) the judgment of Satan, (5) the Great White Throne Judgment, and finally (6) the renovation of the Heavens and Earth.
Session Five (Revised)
The Relationship of the Body of Christ to the Day of the Lord
This session provides a summary of the relationship of the Body of Christ to the Day of the Lord. The Rapture of the Body of Christ begins God’s dealings with the Nations and in particular the Nation of Israel. The
Rapture is the beginning of the Day of the Lord in Heaven and Earth. Also discussed in this session is the administrative responsibility that the Body plays during the Day of the Lord, including Israel’s 3rd Generation, Millennial Kingdom, the “Little Season,” and the Eternal earthly Kingdom.
